Hey. So I'm Sam the founder of Ichigei. I've been watching/reading anime and manga for over 10 years (which is indeed rookie numbers to some) but over that time noticed a common theme.

I like anime, but found most of the merchandise related to it rather over-the-top and/or cringey. I would walk around cons and rarely found something that connected with me. So last year I started my journey with bringing something genuinely cool and high-quality to the market. This is where the tapestries come in. I felt these connected with me because they felt like something I actually wanted to show off and know others would feel the same. They're hand-woven, high quality and just look awesome. I feel proud to put my name behind Ichigei knowing I'm putting out something that doesn't feel like cheap crap but actually lives up to my (pretty high) expectations of what anime merch can be.
